Having progressed only as far as an HND in Business and finance at Ealing College of Higher Education, Jezza retired temporarily and headed off for a two week holiday in Israel with his girlfriend only to return 3 years later!
Aged 25 he settled into the routine of scouring the Guardian job Ads by day and bar shifts at the Bull at Burford by night. Eventually in a fit of desperation as he searched for some kind of career path he contacted a long standing family friend who managed to get him a months work experience at Catalyst Television on the Chelsea Flower Show for BBC2. The only downside was that he had to work for nothing. As a Production Manager he now seeks this skill in others, often with quite successful results!
Having started his illustrious career making tea for Alan Titchmarsh, Jezza continued to acquire various running jobs with numerous companies eventually finding himself at Lauderdale Productions assisting the then Production manager Aaron Denn. After realising he was not bad at striking the odd deal he then progressed into Production Management himself, acquiring his own deal-making baseball bat and nickname Jezza. Brian and Deborah failed to see through him when they started True Vision and were foolish enough to take him on. Since then Jezza has won an Emmy for editing and is one of the only cameraman to travel with kit by Ducati.
Jezza says the key to success in production management is....Get as many people to do as much for you for nothing, and then to thank you for the opportunity afterwards!
