African at heart, Deborah was born in East Africa, and raised in South Africa.

There she became active in one of the few multi racial theatre companies in South Africa with whom she performed anti-apartheid plays in different communities in Natal, South Africa, with occasional unwelcome accompaniment from the South African Police, who would stand in front of the stage singing the Afrikaans national anthem loudly to drown out the performance!

Deborah moved to the the UK in the 80s to pursue an acting career and expand her experience in multi-cultural community theatre. During this time she also developed her business skills in various sectors, including managing one of the first centres for alternative medicine in England.

In the early 90s she assisted in setting up Lauderdale Productions, researching and doing Production Management on various business related documentaries.

In 1995 she became co-founder of True Vision Productions with her husband, Brian Edwards, and has worked on most of the companys productions as a roving troubleshooter, covering a variety of roles including Office Administrator, Researcher, and Assistant Producer.

Among these roles, Deborah was the principle researcher on Slavery and was responsible for identifying the use of slave labour on the cocoa farms of the Ivory Coast.

Known for her candour and extremely subtle wit (so subtle that some people are just too coarse to understand it!) Deborah is passionate about holding the company to its manifesto inherent in its name TRUTH and VISION - even if it causes discomfort at times ...

Being married to Brian she is also often used by other members of the company to pass on to Brian things he needs to know, but no-one wants to tell him.

Deborah is often Debs, but never Debbie, and her official title is
